Rayleen Clancy is an artist and educator based in Ring, Co. Waterford. Her practice consists of painting, video and stained glass. She is interested in ancient symbolism, supernatural phenomena and contemporary discourse surrounding conscious realities and the paranormal. Illustrated in her work are images of hybrids, cryptids, and celestial beings that evoke otherworldly realms. Her use of detail and texture invites the viewer to peer through a fragmentary and kaleidoscopic lens, suggesting an altered state of consciousness. Rayleen has exhibited in several selected group and solo shows in Ireland and Northern Ireland. She holds a Honours Degree in Art from SETU, a Higher Dip. in Film Studies from IADT, she studied Fine Art Painting and Digital Media at the San Francisco Art Institute.
