As part of Irish Design Week 2024, BASE are hosting 3 x workshops exploring tech education, zine creation and 3D design.
BASE is a ten week creative residency at DCC’s Incubation Space from October to December. Initiated by Aisling Phelan & Viva Dean, it will be used to platform workshops, talks & performances that centre creative use of technology. They propose hosting 3 x workshops exploring tech education, zine creation and 3D design.
Figments: Art, Technology & Imagination – three days of workshops spanning creative technology, independent publishing and design thinking. Opportunities for anyone intrigued by the potential of new and old technology to make, create and learn in a calm, supportive environment.
- Day 1 will be hosted by noise-making technology experts Synthesise Her.
- Day 2 by arts & tech community DATA (Dublin Art and Technology Association).
- Day 3 by DIY publisher the Department of Energy (DOE).

Imagination for opportunity - is a chance for designers to showcase and highlight ideas and innovative solutions with a view to getting them funded. We need action and design is the key.
